Job Description:

Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, seeks a dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operation of various heavy equipment used in our day-to-day waste management operations. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, front-end loaders, and compaction equipment, which are essential in managing and processing waste for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures. Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks of equipment. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the machinery. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers. Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste in accordance with company and environmental policies. Report any faults or incidents to the management in a timely manner. Proven ability to operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, front-end loaders, and compactors. Basic maintenance knowledge of operating equipment. Strong understanding of safety guidelines in a heavy equipment environment. Ability to work in varying weather conditions. Good physical condition and endurance. Medical Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license. Equipment Operator Certification preferred.
