Marathon Petroleum Corporation, a leader in the energy sector and the largest refiner in the United States with 16 refineries processing over 3 million barrels per day, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Engineering and Asset Management team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal functioning of our extensive refinery operations. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining high safety and performance standards in day-to-day operations. Perform routine and preventive maintenance of refinery equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Diagnose mechanical issues and provide timely and accurate repairs. Support installations and modifications of equipment as per operational and safety standards. Record and report maintenance tasks and updates in system logs. Participate in safety briefings and adhere to all workplace safety policies and regulations. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations in the maintenance department. Assist in inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Proficient in mechanical repair and troubleshooting. Adept in using tools and equipment related to refinery operations. Strong understanding of safety protocols within a refinery setting. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information. Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints.
