Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Sr. Welder to join our staff located at Artesia, New Mexico. They must be able to perform high-quality welds on carbon steel, low alloy, and stainless steel. Other duties may be assigned. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Operate welding equipment including plasma and air arc cutting machines Lay out and fabricate piping systems Maintain a safe and efficient work environment Collaborate with team members to meet project goals Weld pipe fixed at a 45-degree angle working in all positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. Other duties as assigned. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications: Experience– 5 years of Journeyman level experience Welders Must pass mechanical testing as part of the qualification process Must pass TIG 6G weld test Ability to handle complex, multi-position welds. Ability to work in a physically demanding fast paced work environment. Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights over 100 feet Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Must Pass Tig 6G Weld Test Valid Driver's License Must pass background, comprehensive physical, including a drug screen and safety training Meet physical demands as listed above Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States.
