There is a wonderful opportunity for a Critical Care Nurse at a Critical Access facility right outside of Roswell New Mexico. This is a 25 bed critical access hospital with state-of-the-art technology and an amazing team of 300+ healthcare professionals. Not to mention, they joined the joint commission accreditation back in 2017 while offering a wide range of medical specialities from cardiology all the way to women's care.
The Intensive Care Unit has 4 special care beds and a patient volume of 300+ with 20 Medical Surgical beds in the facility all together. This facility has a consistently met goals of ensuring the highest quality patient care in the region while keeping amazing and trustworthy relationships with patients. The Critical Care Nurse will be reporting directly up to the Manager of Critical Care ensuring that the patient is properly educated and taken care of in each room. They will work alongside 15+ other ICU RN's to complete each and every task assigned by the Nurse Manager in the ICU.
The Critical Care Nurse carries much responsibility in the Intensive Care Unit. The responsibilities may include;

Checking in on patients often while changing their dressings, administering medication, and monitoring vital signs
Patient, family, and friends health education and consistent updates
Physical assessments of patients to ensure proper functions of feeding tubes, ventilators, etc.
Work collaboratively with PRN's and CNA's

An active nursing license is crucial to being considered for the Critical Care Nurse opening with this facility, and previous RN experience at a community critical access facility is a plus.
