Job Description & RequirementsSchool Psychologist (PSY) - School - (PSY - School)StartDate: 8/1/2025 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $2222.47 - $2435.26AMN Healthcare is partnering with a top school district in Hobbs, NM to hire a School Psychologist to work in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Requirements include a graduate-level degree in School Psychology, as well as an internship one academic year in length consisting of at least 1,200 hours of supervised practice (600 of which must be in a school setting. The School Psychologist will work with the district assessment team comprised of an Educational Evaluator and a Speech-Language Pathologist to complete all special education eligibility determinations. Additionally, the School Psychologist will consult with school-based teams on behavior and therapeutic concerns. Clear, articulate written and verbal communication is a must, as is the ability to explain results to a varied audience. Candidates with previous school experience a plus! This School Psychologist will provide counseling services to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the regular student population (treating mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, conduct disorders) to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development. Responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issue. They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments, provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed.
