Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist
to join our multidisciplinary Radiology and Cardiology team. The
ideal candidate will play a critical role in delivering
high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients with
cardiovascular and oncologic conditions, ensuring accuracy, safety,
and comfort throughout each procedure. Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy to patients under the
direction of a radiation oncologist. Work closely with
radiologists, cardiologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists
to develop and execute treatment plans. Operate advanced radiation
equipment, including linear accelerators and simulation machines.
Monitor patients during treatment for adverse reactions and report
changes to the appropriate clinical team. Maintain accurate and
timely records of patient treatments and procedures. Provide clear
explanations and emotional support to patients and families
regarding treatment processes. Ensure compliance with radiation
safety protocols and regulatory standards. Collaborate in quality
assurance and participate in continuing education initiatives.
Qualifications: ARRT Certification (Radiation Therapy) and valid
state licensure (if applicable). Minimum 1–2 years of clinical
experience preferred. BLS Certification Familiarity with cardiac
imaging protocols and interdisciplinary patient care is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work
effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Alto Health
