Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a
Labor & Delivery role requiring a NM or compact RN license, night
shifts, and specialized certifications in fetal monitoring and
neonatal care. \n \n Responsibilities\n Work in the Family Birth
Center/Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting Care for
antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients as well as
newborns Handles triage, direct labor support, medication
administration, and care for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Shifts are 12-hour nights (18:45-06:45), working three nights per
week with weekends as needed On-call and call-back requirements as
needed Floating to other departments or locations within 20 miles
is required Uses Epic EMR (training available on-site)
Responsibilities include triage and labor assessment, medication
administration, fetal and maternal evaluation, care for acute and
critical conditions, and stabilization of newborns Involved in
newborn care procedures including medication administration,
hearing screening, laboratory draws, and care for critically ill
newborns No local candidates accepted; candidates must live at
least 50 miles from the facility Returning employees must wait one
year from previous permanent employment to be eligible for
consideration as a traveler Scrub color or dress code details are
not specified \n \n Requirements\n Active NM or compact RN license
required Minimum of two years current Labor & Delivery nursing
experience Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of
Science in Nursing (ASN) required Current certifications: BLS (AHA,
American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross), NRP, and AWHONN
Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must pass Basic Cardiac
Arrhythmia (BCA) testing during the first week of assignment;
failure to pass results in dismissal Epic experience preferred but
