Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Ruidoso, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,560 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: FBC/L&D Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1845-0645 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two (2) years current experience required. License: State Nursing License is required. Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certifications are required. Must-Have: - Experience with obstetric triage acuity tools. - Labor assessment and evaluation skills. - Knowledge of fetal evaluation and assessment. - Skills in assessing and stabilizing patients in acute and critical conditions. - Ability to administer medications including Pitocin, misoprostol, and others. - Familiarity with postpartum and newborn care including assessment and medication administration. Description: Responsible for floating between departments and local locations within a specified distance. In the Antepartum phase, assess all triage patients over 20 weeks. Utilize obstetric triage acuity tools effectively. Perform labor assessment and evaluations. Conduct fetal evaluations and assessments. Evaluate for labor at term, signs of preterm labor, preeclampsia, and other acute conditions. Stabilize patients for delivery or transfer to a higher level of care if necessary. In the Intrapartum phase, provide labor assessment, evaluation, and care. Prepare expectant mothers for safe delivery. Administer medications, including but not limited to Pitocin and magnesium sulfate. Stabilize newborns immediately after delivery and administer necessary medications. Prepare for scheduled or emergency cesarean deliveries. In the Postpartum/Newborn phase, assess and care for postpartum patients and newborns. Provide newborn care including hearing screens, laboratory draws, and medication administration. Assist with circumcisions and care of newborns experiencing opiate withdrawal. Stabilize critically ill newborns for transport and manage specialized care such as phototherapy and hypoglycemia care.
