Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Carlsbad, NM Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,964 to $2,158 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: (RN) / Operating Room (OR) - 8hr Days City/State: Carlsbad, New Mexico Shift: 07:00-15:30, 8 Hour Days, Mon-Fri, 5x8hr shifts Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 03/23/2026 Job Description: The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Surgical Department. Responsibilities: Ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, and communication with families Updating physician preference cards Scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases Supervision of personnel delivering patient care Requirements: 2 years of experience required BLS, ACLS, PALS required Experience with general, ortho, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endo, and trauma required Adult and pediatric experience required Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS CNOR Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part III OR Cardio Perioperative - Circulate Perioperative - Scrub
